THROUGH COPPER IONS AND HYDROXYL RADICALS

IONIZATION

Advantages: chemical treatment with superior disinfection. An ionization is used through copper electrolysis (silver-free). Copper ions kill algae, bacteria and viruses maintaining the residual level from 0,4 to 0,6ppm. Copper is not introduced on a continual basis as it is carried out on a five minutes a week for a 2,400 litre spa or four hours a week on a 90,000 litre swimming pool. Further on, we will explain that with our tradicional ionization equipment you can prevent the formation of copper chloride.
Disadvantages: ionization on its own, does not resolve problems created by organic pollutants, body oils and suntan lotions, these can stain swimming pool walls. Ionization require a complementary oxidation to "burn" the dead organic matter left by the copper ions. Until know, this oxidation has been undertaken by chemical products like chlorine. With our system, the main advantage is that your health is not affected through dangerous byproducts such as dioxines, trihalomethane and halogen acids that originate through the chloride process.

OXIDATION

Water is 88% oxygen and 12% hydrogen. Through our titanium electrodes and using water as raw material, molecules are electrophysically modified in numerous forms generating ions of hydroxyl radicals (OH), atomic oxygen and ozone molecules that, oxygenate water without using chemical products. 40 to 80 grams per minute of hydroxyl radicals are made, with a water flow of 75 litres per minute on the drawback filter pipe of the swimming pool. With this it will enable you to obtain a combination of the most powerful oxidizer agents available to disinfect the water, with an amount of grams per minute, whereas on an ozonization basis this would not be possible.

Our ionic purification system, uses the advantages of the ionization through ions and copper, replacing chemical oxidation by the generated ones through our titanium electrodes that also control copper levels in swimming pools between 0,4 and 0,6 ppm within the pH levels that are between 6,8 and 7,2. The neutral pH point is seven when the hypochlorous acid does not exist, since chlorine is not used, water is maintained in an excellent state without producing corrosion, cloudiness or other inconveniences like the formation of copper chloride. Copper chloride, causes stains in swimming pools and swimmers, it is formed in the water when the pH is high over 7,8 also, when there is chlorine existance. Through our system problem stains may be prevented, as chlorine is not used, therefore, concentration of copper is controlled in the water, and the pH neutral is maintained and stabilized. Electrode tubes are a combination of 100% pure copper electrodes (coated with a special feature for ionization) and some electrodes are made up of special platinum-titanium alloy for oxidation. This tube of approximately 30cm long pre-installed in the drawback filter of the swimming pool, is designed to be adapted to the tube (directly or through the by-pass, depending on the diameter of the drawback tube) installing it at the end of the filter. Everytime the pump functions, swimming pool water is oxidized in accordance to how it passes through the electrode tubes. Once a week the system should be connected to the ionization mode.
